We've already been doing this for more than ten years, so we've realized it's a marathon, not a sprint.
We work hard, but we do it for a sane number of hours every week. We use our own products obsessively, which means we both understand them in our bones and can get even more done. We provide paid vacation and take all federal holidays off to recharge. Everyone is trained to do customer support so we all can get to know our customers better.
Where we are
We're fully remote but have the occasional meeting or work session in coworking spaces around the SF Bay Area. We consistently share information within the organization so everyone has context.

We’ve been in business for over a decade and in addition to having millions of satisfied users, we're also profitable. So we get to do things like giving back a portion of our profits to support education in Burma and bleeding edge carbon capture research .

- High-friction skepticism - it's fine to question assumptions, especially in light of new information, but it should be done in a way that minimizes conflict. Our expectations should always be that the other people on the team are competent, reasonable, and operating in good faith.
- Feigned surprise, except when used to set up deadpan humor in non-work-related discussions
- Interrupting someone else who's speaking, in general
- Elk pissing - Making changes to someone else's work that do not materially improve it, for the sake of leaving your own stamp on it (like an elk marking territory)
- Playing devil’s advocate for fun instead as a problem solving technique
- Arguing some viewpoint you don’t actually believe in (argument as a verbal sparring sport)

- We aim to evaluate the outcome of projects and initiatives based on how we executed them and how well we made decisions with the information we had at the time, rather than how they ultimately turned out.
- Luck and things outside our control have a significant role in the outcome of everything. We acknowledge that reality and try to appropriately attribute their contribution to our successes and failures.
- We believe that a strategy that has a better expected value and is executed well, but that ultimately fails, is better than a strategy with a low expected value or with poor execution, but that ultimately is successful by chance.

Description
Boomerang is seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Executive to join our expanding sales team. As a product-led growth (PLG) company, we have built a robust base of passionate users. Now, we’re focused on scaling our outbound sales efforts to convert users at target companies with momentum into broader enterprise accounts. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team and shape the future of our sales motion.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve Targets: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
- PLG-Expansion Led Motion: Utilize insights from our ICP and follow sales process to identify, engage, and expand existing users at target companies with momentum, utilizing your multi-department multithreading skills, to upsell and cross-sell into paid team accounts.
- Inbound Led Motion: Follow sales process with inbounds to convert into paid team accounts.
- Cold Outbound Motion: Work with our team to build and follow the cold outbound sales process. Taking existing ICP knowledge of successful customers and finding net new opportunities to pursue.
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target organizations.
- Task Completion and CRM Hygiene: Daily pipeline review, clean CRM, recap emails, follow up tasks, tracking numbers, and moving deals forward.
- Daily Huddles: Attend daily sales huddles and contribute ideas and time to moving motions forward.
- Feedback and Reporting: Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams on user needs and contribute to the continuous improvement of our product offerings.
- Collaboration with VP of Sales: Work closely with VP of Sales to nail the motions and build scalable AE org.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or similar role in a SaaS company with a focus on product-led growth
- Demonstrated success in an early stage startup sales team
- Experience with expanding existing user accounts and converting free users to paid accounts
- Experience running longer sales cycles
- Experience working a mix of inbound, PLG-outbound and cold outbound
- Strong understanding of PLG strategies and how they drive sales growth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools
- Ability to work during 9am EST-5pm EST
- Be located in one of these 8 states: WA, OR, CA, UT, TX, NC, MA, NJ
Preferred
- Sold productivity suite previously (i.e. Zapier, Calendly, Dropbox, Typeform, Lucid, Motion, Notion, Asana, Trello)
- Ability to put time, energy, and work into taking something from 0 to 1

Compensation
$60-80k base, $150k OTE
